2015

In 2015, Steve Woodford petitioned the FAI to create a new Category for Night Large Formation and Night Sequential World Records

Up until this point, ever since the FAI discontinued the Category in the late 70’s, all Night Records were non-sanctioned by the FAI. But more important to the participants was the fact that we did them. A photo on the wall was all that was needed…not the Certificate. But in recent times, skydivers are more concerned with the Certificate so it was decided to get FAI sanction to attract experienced skydivers to the events. This strategy proved successful and interest was reignited in Night World Records.

2016

An Official FAI NightWorld Record 40-way was completed at Eloy in 2016.
